October 21, 2009 (Fort Erie, Ontario) - Canadian Niagara Power Inc. (“CNPI”) announced today that it is making a $15,000 donation in support of the new Fort Erie Skate Park. This donation will be earmarked for the purchase of new high efficient electric lighting being installed at the park. This donation was made possible through an initiative agreement between CNPI and the Ontario Power Authority’s Conservation programs.
“Our Company recognizes the need for such a valuable community project that offers a safe and fun environment for our children and their families. With this donation, CNPI is once again able to partner with the Town to enhance Fort Erie’s parks and recreation system for the benefit of our residents,” said Bill Daley, President & CEO of CNPI.
“The Fort Erie Skate Park is a much needed and long awaited addition to Fort Erie's parks system”, stated Fort Erie Mayor Douglas Martin. “Members of the community have spent many years working towards this goal.
