FortisOntario also owns regulated transmission assets with approximately 3,460 kilometres of distribution and transmission lines, and meets a peak demand of approximately 257 MW. Glen King

President and Chief Executive Officer

Glen King

Mr. King is President and Chief Executive Officer of FortisOntario Inc. He has held several leadership roles and has extensive management and financial experience in the utility sector.  Before his appointment to his current role, he held the role of Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer since 2005. He joined Fortis Group of Companies in 1995 as the Vice President, Finance with Fortis Trust Corporation.  With more than 35 years of experience, Mr. King sits on several Board of Directors, including FortisOntario Inc., Canadian Niagara Power Inc., Cornwall Street Railway, Light and Power Company Limited, Algoma Power Inc., Wataynikaneyap Power GP Inc., Wataynikaneyap Power PM Inc., Fortis (WP) GP Inc.,  Newfoundland Power and Grimsby Power Inc. Mr. King is community focused and formerly sat on the YMCA of Niagara and on the United Way of Niagara Falls and Fort Erie Boards of Directors. Mr. King holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.

Duane Fecteau

Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer

Duane Fecteau

Mr. Fecteau is Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, and oversees FortisOntario Inc.’s and Wataynikaneyap Power PM’s financial, internal audit, and regulatory functions. Mr. Fecteau has held several leadership roles and has extensive management and financial experience in the utility sector. As Vice President, Finance and CFO of Wataynikaneyap Power PM, he successfully completed a $2.0B financial close for the largest construction project in Fortis Inc.’s history, and the largest Indigenous owned transmission project in Canada’s history.  Most recently he held the position of Vice President, Finance and CFO of Wataynikaneyap Power GP, a position which he still holds, and prior to joining the Company in 2017, Mr. Fecteau held key positions with Great Lakes Power Transmission and Brookfield Renewable Power. 

Mr. Fecteau has more than 30 years of industry experience and is a director of Cornwall Street Railway, Light and Power Company Limited.  

Mr. Fecteau holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Ottawa and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. 

 

Jie Han

Vice President, Operations

Jie Han

Mr. Han has worked in the utility industry for over 35 years. He joined the Fortis group of Companies in 1990, starting at Maritime Electric. He has held a in a variety of engineering, planning, operations and senior management roles since joining FortisOntario in 2004. He serves as Vice President of Operation for FortisOntario and Vice President of Wataynikaneyap Power PM. He is responsible for the FortisOntario Operations group and was very involved in the development of the Wataynikaneyap Power Transmission project, leading the technical team on engineering, planning, design schedule and cost estimate.  Mr. Han is a director of Cornwall Electric Railway, Light and Power Company Limited as well as Rideau St. Lawrence.  Mr. Han holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the Tsing Hua University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Buffalo.  He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.

Tim Lavoie

Vice President, Corporate Services & Indigenous Relations

Tim Lavoie

Mr. Lavoie has more than 30 years of experience in the utility industry, leading a broad range of functions, including Operations, Finance, Corporate Services, Customer Service and Indigenous Relations.  Mr. Lavoie joined FortisOntario in 2009, with the acquisition of Algoma Power Inc.  and has held the roles of Regional Manager and Director of Corporate Development and since 2016 has been in his current role which overseas Business Development, Legal, Corporate Services, Indigenous Relations, Human Resources, Information Technology,  and acts as Board Secretary.  Tim has been an instrumental executive team member for the Wataynikaneyap Power Transmission Project, during its early development, construction and evolution to an operating utility. Mr. Lavoie sits on several Board of Directors, including Canadian Niagara Power Inc., Cornwall Street Railway, Light and Power Company Limited, Algoma Power Inc., Fortis (WP) GP Inc., Westario Power Inc.,  and Sault Area Hospital.  Mr. Lavoie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
