SPCA Community Supply Drive

CNP organized a successful SPCA Supply Drive to support the Fort Erie SPCA. Employees contributed a variety of essential items, helping provide much‑needed supplies for animals in care.

United Way Hygiene Kit Assembly Day

A group of CNP employees volunteered with the United Way in Port Colborne during an Ambassador Engagement Session at Chestnut Place. The team assembled 125 Hygiene Kits, each filled with essential items to help provide comfort and dignity to individuals facing hardship.

Donation To Harvest Algoma

Our team recently came together to donate canned goods and a monetary contribution to Harvest Algoma, helping support over 70 local agencies that provide nutritious food to community members in need; we’re proud of our staff for making a meaningful impact and strengthening food access across the Algoma district.

Community Clean-up 2025 

Algoma Power is proud to have adopted a section of a local hub trail where on an annual basis our employees volunteer to pick up waste and participate in helping to keep our community clean.

"TAKE ROOT" COMMUNITY TREE GIVEAWY

The “Take Root” Community Tree Giveaway brought together local townships to distribute free trees and native wildflower mixes for residents to plant in their communities, with volunteers helping make the environmentally focused event a success.

Eastern Ontario Power proudly donated $500 to the Gananoque Food Bank. We appreciate all they do to support families in our community.

Silver Sponsor at Gananoque Ribfest 2025 

Eastern Ontario Power is proud to sponsor the Gananoque Ribfest in 2025. All proceeds raised at the event remain in the community to support charities, local ​families and students.

In 2024, Canadian Niagara Power and its employees proudly contributed approximately $31,800 to the United Way of Niagara. Canadian Niagara Power was awarded the 2023 Campaign of the Year Award at the Annual United Way Breakfast. Since 2015, Canadian Niagara Power with its employees have donated more than $218,000 to the local United Way. 

For the 22 years in a row, Canadian Niagara Power sponsored Port Colborne’s annual Canal Days. This event draws more than 300,000 people over the four-day festival to the City of Port Colborne. 

Canadian Niagara Power also donated $10,000 to support the "Our Town, Our Home" community fundraising campaign by the Lions Club, along with the Lion's Douglas Heights Senior Residence Inc. This campaign aims to build new affordable living apartment for seniors in Fort Erie.

In 2024, Algoma Power and its employees proudly donated over $26,000 to United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District. Algoma Power and its employees have generously contributed $300 to each of the 10 food banks in our service area, totaling an impressive $3,000. These meals will undoubtedly bring joy and essential support to those in need.

In 2024, Cornwall Electric and its employees raised approximately $16,400 for the local United Way.  This adds to a total of over $137,000 over the past decade! Additionally, Cornwall Electric has made significant strides as well, donating $2,500 to Rachel’s Kids for their Park of Hope project, designed to meet the needs of all children, including those with disabilities! 

In 2023, Cornwall Electric donated $2,500 to St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center, funding a state-of-the-art 2,400 sq ft rehabilitation space that enhances recovery programs for patients overcoming illness, injury, or surgery.

In 2024, Eastern Ontario Power proudly sponsored a hole at the 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament. This event provides a platform for our community to unite, share their voices, and make Gananoque and TLTI as better places to live!

Eastern Ontario Power was also a silver sponsor for the Gananoque Ribfest in 2024.​ Every dollar raised at this fantastic event will stay in the community, making a significant impact on local charities, families, and students.
